A UK based ‘Silicon Valley’ Is Coming

Hi-tech industries are being invited to create a UK Silicon Valley

Alongside the budget announcements yesterday, the government has released plans for a UK version of “Silicon Valley” that will span from Oxford to Cambridge.

The plans to develop the Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford corridor will see the area benefit with up to 1 million new homes by 2050, with a deal in place to guarantee 100,000 new homes by 2031.

With Network Rail agreeing to fund new rail lines and stations, firms and potential investors within the region are being invited to get involved within the next 12 months as the UK Silicon Valley goals are realised.
