This October, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is fighting against suicide within the UK.
Since 2019, CALM has been holding Lost Hours Walks across the country to raise awareness. This year, walks will take place from October 21st and end on the 30th, when the clocks go back.
This extra hour is a great opportunity to check-in with your community and give a helping had where needed.
If you would like to support the cause, you can choose where you would like to walk, and how far. CALM suggest distances between 1km to 50km, with the aim to raise a total of £300,000 for the charity.
You can fundraise and donate to CLAM through their website, and money raised will go towards challenging ‘stigmas and stereotypes’ around suicide.
A shocking 125 people take their own lives each week, in the UK, with the construction industry losing an average of two tradespeople every working day.
If you need to speak to someone at CALM, you can contact them on 0800 58 58 58.
Other support is available too, including access to a number of free resources for Tradesman Saver customers.
