Football star Leon Britton starts new career as builder
Leon Britton, 35, who played for Swansea City tweeted a picture of him wearing a hi-vis jacket and hard hat while hard at work behind the wheel of a dumper truck.
Leon had played more than 400 games as a midfielder for Swansea and helped the team win the League Cup in 2013, becoming the club’s player of the year twice.
Retiring just last season, he has gone on to work on a flats development in London. “Really enjoyed my first day on site. Great bunch of lads with loads of banter. Looking forward to getting stuck in again tomorrow.”
Fans applauded his new job with one supporter saying “U need a bigger dumper to fill the hole your retirement left in our midfield!”
