Builder Helps Contribute To BBC’s – DIY SOS!

A builder gave up work for a day to help contribute to Britain’s home makeover show, BBC’s DIY SOS.

The show took on its most ambitious task yet of renovating an entire street, home to ex-members of the armed forces who had fallen on hard times.

After noticing Nick Knowles asking for volunteers on Facebook, Robert, a property developer, cancelled work and went to volunteer the next morning. “I’ve been in building for around 20 years and I just wanted to offer my services to someone else in need.”

Robert, who is a plasterer by trade, put his skills to good use with a group of guys by helping to plaster the renovated rooms.

Surprised at meeting the stars of the show, Robert even got a chance to see royalty as Prince Harry visited to help be a part of the project.
