For manual trades, our online system allows businesses to get covered for up to 15 workers. This caters to sole traders, small partnerships, and limited companies.
Why a Workforce Limit?
The manual worker limit exists because insuring a large workforce requires underwriting procedures beyond our automated online process.
However, we can still accommodate businesses with over 15 employees over the telephone. For specialised trades with minimal manual work, higher employee counts may also be accepted.
Here is an overview of worker limits:
- Online – Up to 15 workers can be insured directly through the Tradesman Saver website.
- Via Telephone – For over 15 workers, we can arrange policies through our other insurer partners.
- Non-Manual – Some professions with minimal manual labour may exceed the online limit.
